Easy Baked Tomato Soup Pork Chops |
| |
|
Pork Recipes |
I think I only had this maybe once in my life but it is
inexpensive and easy to make. You can vary the ingredients
which will make the recipe versitile and you could prepare this
a least once a month if so inclinded. In today's environment
pork chops are a healthy alternative to it's beef counterparts
and less expensive. As with most of the recipes that you
encounter on my site, this serves 2 but you can double for
4.
2 - 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick pork chops cover with seasoned
flour(salt, red cayenne pepper). Brown lightly in bacon/sausage
grease(I know, but it tastes better this way). Place chops in a
baking dish(I prefere glass).
In a separate bowl put 1/2 can of Campbell's Tomato soup(or
your choice), 6 ounces water, 1/4 chopped celery, 1/2 green
pepper chopped, 1/2 cup minced onions, 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
and 1/4 teaspoon paprika(hot or sweet).
Pour the ingredients from the bowl over the pork chops, cover
the dish and bake for about 1 hour @ 350 degrees, 45 minutes of
baking remove cover and top with your favorite corn
flakes(lightly crushed).
This recipe is versitile because you can substitute different
flavor soups, so what ever soup you like best, go for it! You
can also add nuts into the mix to give it even more flavor.
There ya have it another fine recipe.
This is a great recipe for family and especially kids, they
love it. It is not hard to make but it does take a little time
to prepare.
