This is a great summer and picnic salad, as it is served cool and you can flavor it as you please. I have made and eaten this so many times, I have lost count. I will introduce you to the basic recipe and you can modify to your liking.
Ingredients:
1 - pkg. of pasta (egg noodles, elbows your preference) 3/4 - cup of mayonnaise 1/2 - cup of sliced celery 1/2 - cup of diced onion 1/2 - cup of red & green pepper Salt and Pepper to taste Paprika
Preparation:
Cook pasta, drain, cool and place in large bowl. Add celery, onion, pepper and mayonnaise (you can add more or less, as per your preference). Mix well, add salt and pepper to taste and cover and let cool in frig. The flavors will meld together as it cools. Prior to serving sprinkle lightly on top the paprika. It adds flavor but also more importantly color to make it pleasing to view. This recipe is great for picnics with hamburgers, hot dogs or on lettuce as a salad.
This pasta salad recipe is a perfect addition to any picnic or barbacue. You can serve as a side dish or on lettuce as a salad.
